Secretary of the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat, on behalf of
Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) and Local Government Authorities
(LGAs), invites applications from qualified and competent Tanzanians to fill
678 vacant positions as outlined in this an
nouncement.
1.0
MEDICAL OFFICER GRADE II – 115 Positions
1.1
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Perform
all hospital medical duties related to various diseases, including pediatric,
maternal, and general and emergency surgery.
ii. Provide and supervise health education and community health improvement
programs within the district, region, or assigned area of work.
iii. Investigate, monitor, and prevent disease outbreaks.
iv. Maintain health statistics and utilize them as guided by the principles of
MTUHA (Ministry of Health's standard health information system).
v. Plan and evaluate health services in the assigned area of work.
vi. Teach students and other staff within the work environment.
vii. Supervise and direct subordinate staff.
viii. Design and conduct research and disseminate findings.
ix. Develop and implement strategies to improve the quality of healthcare
services within the profession.
x. Prepare health service plans and budget estimates.
xi. Participate in, review, and improve health services through medical audits
and quality improvement initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPLICANTS
Candidates
must hold a Bachelor of Medicine degree from a university or college recognized
by the Government, have completed their internship, and be registered with the
Medical Council of Tanganyika.
