7. (a) Briefly analyze the reason for each of the following:
(i) The cooking utensils and boilers are made of metals such
as aluminum but their handles are made of plastic materials or wood.
(11) Soft clothes such as blanket and coats always keep our
bodies warm during winter.
(iii) To keep a house warm, it must be made with double
walls and double glass windows that trap air between them.
(b) Carbon -14 undergoes a beta decay to produce nitrogen
(N). Write down the balanced nuclide equation for this process and hence
determine the number of neutrons of nitrogen formed.
